Meet Pepper the cat:)

Here is our newly painted hallway at the old house. The whole house its now this colour and i must say it does look fantastic:)

Also is a photo of Pepper the cat.....looks like he/she is the newest addition to our family and is cute and funny to boot. I had forgotten how much fun kittens are.....although i am yet to get a decent cuddle with it:)

What you would see on a visit to my town....

I have the day off today and decided that when i had to go to town i would take my camera and get some local photos.

I do have some more in mind to take but to just get this post started here are my photos.

I apologise in adance for the non cropping...DH was playing in Adobe the other night and has shown me how to put a heap of photos on an A4 sheet...YAY!!!!! But he has done something to my crop tool...it only does a certain size crop (3x5) i used to be able to click and make it do whatever size i wanted but this seems to be a set size and when i click on the little arrows halfway down the photo i can rotate the crop square but not make it bigger.....is anyone able to help me???? Please...i dont want to do anything unless i wreck it:(

Okay Blogger is doing this its own way......top photo is the fountain at the centre of our town at the river end.....will get river shots later.

Second one i was just playing and liked this shot.

Third is a mural painted on the side of the Westpac bank...not sure why it was done but it looks good....sure beats bricks:)

Fourt and fifth shots are of the Stone tiger gifted to Renmark from our sister city in China.....plaque explains in more detail:)

New Addition?

Mum look what i found under your car in the car park.....now im not sure i believe this verse but isnt it cute?

It looks like it may be an addition to our family, if no one claims it,,,,it seems very friendly and cuddly and it purrs and kneads alot:)

There are discussions on what to call it.........ive been looking at egyptian chinese and african names.......akila...( but if it attacks our budgies it maybecome a killa!)

Kali means energetic, Nala means Queen, Kesi, Masika....(may become massacre,,,if it gets to the birds:)) Matilda

Anyway time will tell whether or not it was dumped even as there are not alot of houses in the centre of town...

Broken Hip
Hi there i am now back.What an eventful week it has been.

Last Wednesday night my DH went to work loading bales of lucerne in the back of the work ute with another guy from work where they had to light them for frost control...as you may know it has been down to minus 7 degrees C here lately anyways,,,,my DH and friend were on the last bale and wouldnt you know it, they pushed the last one off the back of the ute and DH went with it!!!!

Consequently i have been in Adelaide with the children as DH broke his hip in the fall. He was flown to Adelaide via RFDS and underwent an operation about 9.30am on Thursday morning.I didnt find out until nearly midnight this had happened. I happened to be on the net looking at things for a friends wedding that i am making the invitations for and they were unable to get hold of me on the telephone and my stupid mobile only goes to voice mail...anyway this happened about 9.30 at night.

After ringing DH and leaving two messages i got into bed at about 11.45pm wondering when he was going to be home...about 5 mins later a car pulled into the driveway and some one came banging on my door.

It was the wife of the man with DH who said DH is in hospital, he has fallen from the ute and hurt himslef,,,maybe broken his hip.She said later i was quite calm about it all although i seemed a littl out of it...she said she would stay and watch the kids for me.

To cut a long story short i got back home eventually about 2.30am,,,i had gone home in the meantime to get him some clothes for the trip to Adelaide, the friend left and after trying to organise what i needed to do before i left in the morning.....i got to bed about 4am!

I couldnt sleep, at 4am i rolled to his side of the bed and cried:(I woke at 4.45am feeling SO sick...i was terribly worried about driving to Adelaide...ive never done it before! I woke again at 6am and after not going back to sleep i finally got up at 7am.I rang a friend to ask if we can stay there and she said yes of course.....dont even need to ask,,,so thankyou heaps Kell,,,,,,you are a darling friendxxxxAfter all this i had to tell the kids and they understandably freaked out, we left for adelaide about 10am...

we got to the hosp about 2.30 i guess, DS just about passed out on the floor when he saw Daddy, and DD was very quiet as well. I did warn them Daddy would have tubes and things in him. It was so wonderful to see him...he looked so sore and tired and sick.....no wonder!!!

He was looking much better the following day, which was Friday, he was not happy though because he just had a plate and 3 screws no 4 screws put in his leg and they wanted him to walk on it. Eventually they said if you can walk on it by weekend satisfactorily then you can go home on monday.....well DH is such a determined bloke and guess what...we came home on Monday :)Im going to stop here for tonight.....i worked today and ive not seen him much so im going to go sit my my sweethearts side:)Dont forget to leave a comment Charmaine

Tuesdays a strange day....

at Australia Post. My gang love the ad on the telly about Australia Post, they all especially love the nodding dogs head.

There has been quite alot of stuff happening here but nothing really all that exciting for any lurkers out there:)

On the weekendwe spent a few lazy hours watching some JAG episodes on dvd. DD went to a birthday party that turned into a two night stay......DS started his new job at Maccas...he says he enjoyed it and he has the mac speak down pat......

Dh and i burnt our big heaps of prunings left here from the other owners.....while we were standing there watching the fire, this car drove along the back of our property......then pulled into our place and pulled up outside the house...imagine my delight and shock to see 4 .....12 year old girls get out of this fancy car and come hobnobbing over to say hi......

It was dd and some of her friends...they live just down from us but behind us.....so the kids use the blocks between us to drive on......the other owners dont mind and the kids are always very responsible...now i know it isnt everyones cup of tea to allowed tweens to be drivng but in the country it is different and they arent driving on the roads....

It really warmed my heart to see them being and acting so grown up and doing the correct thing including wearing of seatbelts...the driver asked if it was okay for her to be driving and i said as long as you are being responsible and your mother has no problems driving her car then why should i mind?

Ummmm i have been doing a few extra hours this last week as one of the girls have gone away for 10 days or so.....

We havent done too much at the old house as the weather is shocking but there is no light to be able to paint in the afternoons....grrr. Last week it was pitch black at 5.30.

DH and i managed to start some pruning the other day...we now have lots more to prune LOL.....i am planning to take some photos....i can prune apricots with the best of them but i am struggling with these firepearl nectarines......they are pruned different and i havent worked out what to keep and what to cut haha...

My brother and sil called in on their way home from Adelaide to say hi....it was nice to see them as it has been a while.

Still made no plans about these 40th birthdays...just on 6 weeks i think to go......i should pull my finger out and just name a date......thinking about very late july or early aug.

Trying to think of what else has been happening here......like i said nothing really worth chatting about.
I was going to post a pic of ds in his uniform but i have sent all the pics to the HD and so will have to play with that to get them up....cant be bothered at the moment:)
