Busy Busy Busy
Okay starting recent and working back....
12th December.
We have been anticipating this day for many months......
Our house has finally passed into the hands of someone else, hopefully to love as much as we did and to create many many happy years of memories as it did for us.
We saw it on valentines day 1998 and moved in on 22nd march 1998.
We left one week shy of ten years of many years of memories, lots of them fantstic although it was very bittersweet standing at the back door looking out over the back yard as the memories flooded through my mind of my children as tiny little people who couldnt even reach the door handles to their rooms when we moved in.....and now they are so tall.
Memories of the fig tree they put a pallet into so they could have a cubby house, the fence they climbed to reach the neighbours mulberries, the pets corner where we have left behind our faithful dog zues, our beautiful kitty revs and a whole heap of chooks.
The outside laundrey where they posed for me dressed up as aladdin and bat man when they were in the town pagent years ago.
I have photos of their tiny hand prints in the cement where we had extra cement and let them leave their mark:)
I have lots of photos of every step on the way of renovations we did....far too many to mention.
So that was a very bittersweet day. It was also very bitterwseet for Zoe, you see when she got off the bus on friday she came over to the car, after being hugged by three children, in tears,,,,,,i asked her what the matter was, you will see them again, but the tears were for the fact that she has now finished her years of Primary School, and she was devastated that she will no longer go back to the school, well not in an official capacity anyway.
Although she has been so looking frward to high school secretly i think it finally sunk in yesterday and it made my heart ache for her and i also shed some tears. My time at RNPS is finally at an end and it hasnt been said with a sigh. I have been very happy with the schhol in all our years there and they have played a huge part in my childrens lives and have done a great job.
We can now move on in our life. Now im not saying that we havent moved on....we have been in the *NEW* house already for 9MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I so cannot believe it.......
Since we have been here we have already pruned all the trees ready for this years crops for which we have already started picking!
Nov 11 we picked our very first apricots, in that patch we managed to get 8 bins....up 2.5 bins on last years crop. In our second patch we have picked already we have picked around 23 bins, up 4 on last year. We have picked a bin of nectarines that have already gone to market. We saved one of those trees for us and they are the most amazing juicy nectarine i have ever tasted* slurp slurp*
Tommorrow we are starting the picking of the dried fruit apricots, although we have already picked and cut one lot already:)
On monday my neices are coming from adelaide for their usual working holiday with us and we will be in full swing......i have two weeks off work to do the season:)
Last night we had ourselves a party here....we are not very social people and much prefer to keep to ourselves and spent our time working on the block or just hanging with the kids.
Anyway we decided to have a *hooray we have sold the house* party here.
It was a very successful night and we actually had a sleep in which is just about unheard of here because we have been so busy leading up to season.
What else can i tell you.....basically it has just been very busy and ive not felt like updating my blog or talking much online either......i sometimes feel its too much effort to reach out to people to maintain a friendship when i am so busy, as are others ...but when i do i feel sometimes people arent interested anyway. But never mind, i have my family and thats all that matters:)
I dont think i shall post any pics this time as i cant be bothered but i also dont feel like facing the memories with my old house...i do have a lot of pics to share tho...we also went to my cousins wedding on the 29th nov and zoe had her 13t birthday on the 22nd nov so there are pics to share just not yet LOL...
what is the saying at the moment around here.......
Has anyone heard this one used much lately....
Im SO over it.....lol.......isnt that a bad frame of mind to be in LOL
Oh and i am so over Christmas too but i am looking forward to my girlfriend coming to stay a few days with her dd, she has had the shittiest year and i just want to hang with her and maybe have a drink or two:)
