snake bite

well thes last few days have been very hectic...as you can tell from my title we have been involved in a snake bite.
My sisters partner (for ease of reading he will be my BIL) was bitten by a brown snake on sunday night.
he was airlifted to royal adelaide hospital and is still on life support. He recently had a heart attack and that history along with the complications of his collapse at home did not bode well AT all for his recovery!

Fortunately today when i rang my sister i could tell by her voice that he was better and when i asked how he was she said that they are putting in a feeding tube as we were speaking and they were going to attempt to wake him tommorrw (wed) .

He apparantly had a ct scan and there sisnt seem to be any sign of brain damage but until he wakes there is really no way of telling anything, apart form that he has some kidney damage and will need dialysis but am unsure as to if it will be temp (we hope if needed) or permanent...hopefully not needed...fingers crossed.

So it is pretty chaotic.,,my sis kids are staying with friends and my sis will be coming home tommorrow and probably will go back to Adelaide on thurs or fri....my brother went with her to adelaide yesterday but had to go home to mildura today,,,,

so fingers crossed that all will go well for him and that he will be home soon or at least WELL soon......he actually had no pulse and was not breathing and to one of my nephews morbid curiosity,,turned blue then purple...apparantly it was my 12 yo neice who administered CPR after learning it at something called PAthfinders...kinda like a church guides i think....

well i shall leave it here for now but i will post back here often to update you on his progress
