GRRRR!!! seems blogger is just loving giving m a bloomin hard time this morning.

Should be interesting to see what actually gets uploaded where today.....i want broadband..its taking forever.......over an hour already!!!

Thank god its Friday

YAY,,,its been a busy week this week it was my turn to do the late shifts.....i have one early finish and that is one Tuesdays.

I am very proud of myself this week, i managed teh gym 4 times this week as well as a 1 hour walk i managed to do on Wed. It was such a gorgeous day and i couldnt help myself...i just had to go LOL.

I had a lot of help this week the family took turns cooking tea for me we had a lovely concoction done by Zoe...it was spinach fettucine, topped with chicken wings marinated as well as a round lamb chop (go figure LOL) but it was nice. Daz made a shepherds pie last night and it was so delish!!!!!

Tommorrow we are helping in the canteen for hockey as it is a home game....then i have been roped in to play for B Women ...well that should be a hoot anyway......i did have fun last time i played:)

Not sure what else is planned for the weekend, probably some more block work although we do have to do our BAS and group certificates...eek!

Okay for the time being i am heading off...maybe i will pop in to the chookscraps free online class tonight at 8.30pm, thats if i stay awake that long.....sleep is hard to come by here at the moment...that darn dog across the road along with the feral cats (literally) roaming our yard is making sleep a hard to get thing....grrrr

Counting my blessings....

Today has been a happy day. I am posting to share in my good luck, this morning i did not awaken until 10 to 10. I could not believe it....i never sleep that late but im assuming that i needed it lol.

Daz and i went to the block today as we have had to keep going with our pruning. We finished another patch.....with the chainsaw...LOL.
Due to daz breaking his hip last year we didnt get any or very little of the pruning done last year so they are all getting a fantastic haircut this time.

But what makes me the happiest of all is while out we asked the kids to do some tidying up....they have been very unco operative lately in that regard....well they tidyied the whole house, including remaking our bed, folding the washing that was on the couch and rearranged the lounge room. We were so amazed and i was very grateful......its moments like this that make it all worthwhile:)

And while i sit here typing they have just finished a game of chess...zo is learning and loves it and now the boys have just gone outside to have a game of table tennis before we go and grab some food for the kidlets for their school lunches ect.....

Life is great and im happy........now at any rate:)
just wanted to share this with you all LOL.
Im planning on playing with the new computer tonight loading some programs on it and being able to get some photos here to share...im planning to upload all pics on the other hardrive and just bring pics over with my flash drive..free up space on this one....

Happy Birthday to me.....

yes im going to sing the song loud and proud today......

I have been totally spoilt rotten...my dearest darling husband bought me a wonderful present last night and i was able to play with it last night....now to get used to it.

I have never had somethng this special before and i am so totally excited about it......

Have i teased you enough?? Shall i tell you what i was spoilt with....

A brand new LAPTOP.......yes arent i the lucky one.....DH brought one for the business and work a few months ago and i thought it was the coolest thing.....i had never had much to do with them before but gee i liked it.

And to get one all for myself it is bliss....i can see myself sitting here watching tv and chatting or playing out in my scrap room and having all you guys pop in now and again for company via cybercrops and chats......

Oh lucky me:) Cant you tell i am excited...

It has all sorts of cool features that i dont understand.....i love the little finger scanning bizzo thing LOL.....

I shall update while i am here too.....we had a wonderful wekend, very busy with work...on saturday we picked our Tangellos....for the update we managed to pick 3 bins and at approx 425kg in each bin we ended up picking approx 1.2 tonnes of fruit.....that is a small pick...we have picke up to 14 bins off our lemons before....mind you the shoulders were sore and when i work out this computer and things i shall be adding some photos we took especially for you guys:)

On sunday we pruned the front patch of our apricots,,,these are quite tall trees to pick come picking time and they tend to go rotten on the tree due to a beetle that gets in them and makes them yukky,,,anyway we absolutely hav=cked the #$%^ out of them and they now look awesome....!!!! Lots of photos there too.....

We are going out for tea tonight for my birthday with a family of friends and i am sure there will be a few phone calls today ...last birthday was quite a sad one as the frst phone call i got was news that my Nanna had passed away, so that was a sadder birthday,,,Nanna love and miss youXX

We have had a good week here at home, the kids are well and have been behaving themselves....im taking them to grans today and they can walk over to the moves to see Bridge to Terabithia.....Leigh did something on this in English last term and got really good grades for it so im guessing it was interesting.....

Speaking of Leigh his grades for the last term were absolutley bloody awesome.....he picked up very well in all his subjects.....he got three Cs in the first term...we werent too happy mainly because the attitude was not good either but this term he was commended for reaching a high B in one of the subjects he got a C for. His art result was quite a surprise and he is so creative and artistic....he got a C. I think he thinks that we want him to get all As. This of course is not the case...i was only ever a C student with the occasional A and B so i am happy as is Daz that he tries his best at whatever he does and we try to teach him that you cant blame the teacher if you dont like them or the subject cause you arent always ever foing to get on with everyone so it is up to YOU to do the best you can and try harder if there is a difference of opinion:)

Im off to work at my LSS http://riverlandscrapbooking.com.au this Sat, they have big sale on and i am so looking forward to it....i hope the link works...ive never done that before.

Okay i must be off now due to being surprised with this fantastic pressie i ave to pack the dishwasher for last nights dishes....ewwww....got sidetracked:)

Its been a while...

Hi there everyone.....ive not been about cause we dont actually have any internet protection at the moment and i have not beeen surfing *just in case* but i really wanted to pop into a few blogs and do some catching up.

I have a few birthday hellos to pass along... Mardi for the other day,,, i do hope you had a wonderful day i was thinking of you.

Olivia who was 7 happy birthday honey and you did a great job on your cake.
Alanna and Melissa who both share my birthday next week...the 18th July.
Darrel wants to take me out for tea but im so over it already LOL.

I am thinking however more about the one coming next year....the big 40! Im not scared of it at all and im generally not a party person or a really social person so im tossing up whether i should just do it or not LOL.

Now a few things to play catch up. I had to work last weekend and missed the goal Leigh shot in the u/17 hockey match, he was beside himself with excitement......as he is only 13 still.
It is so scary to watch this tall lanky but vunerable 13 year old play with all these hair covered boys/men that swear and are just so grown up. Leigh is definately not out of place in the skills level he is just missing hte extra hair LOL......

Zo has had a friend stay over these holidays...she has recently moved to Victor Harbour and they have missed each other like crazy. It is however i feel a good thing for zo as she has had to reach out to new friends....i think she is a happy child but she tends to flit from group to group....and i sometimes wish for her the closeness of more than one friend. I guess it is just a hangover from my school days where i was the nerd and the one all the kids picked on on the bus and all of that kind of stuff...but as long as she is happy then i cant wish for anything more i guess can i?

Ummm we went pruning on the weekend and i decided there and then that i am going to update my blog with things that we do at the block...i realise that us living in the country on a fruit property gives us a unique opportunity to learn things and do things that poeple in the city cant. It was brought to my attention when i had city rellies from Brisbane come visit in January.

We grow apricots, pears sultanas, apples, oranges, tangellos and lemons oh and cherries and peaches.

Do you guys see the Angas Park and Sunbeam dried fruits in the supermarket? Well our fruit goes into them...there is a process that we do from about the 13 dec thru to New Years...we pick cut and dry the fruit...apricots in this case.

At the end of Jan there are the peaches, Feb/Mar is the pears and they take such a long time to dry.....at this time there is also sultanas to pick, spread on racks and wait for them to dry and we shake them....there is a lot of work in these...we didnt even do our harvest this year because lack of water made the fruit quite small.

Anyways if any one is interested i shall pop up random pics now and again with a little story to say what we are up to.

Couple of questions before i go.....what internet security do you use and do you like it...the reason i ask is Daz was thinking of trying something other than Nortons.

Also who has broad band and is the cost worth it?

The reason i ask this is we just changed our phone plan and instead of getting a $300 or there abouts bill we got one for over $500......aparantly you have to be 3 months in advance....boy was i ropable.....when i rang the girl ( we have had issues before) basically the whole 9 years we have been here we have been charged for a telstra handset and have never had one....when i rang to change the plan over i asked the guy if i can have a new phone and he basically said no.......i spoke to this girl and i asked her if we can have the new phone seeings as i am payng for something that my phone cannot do and thankfully she said yes..she also refunded 12 months handset rental which i thought was great......anyway it is all sorted and we have the new phone but the reason for the question was that would you still have to pay upfront and im not sure that i want to fork out any more money...

On to other matters,,,,,im guessing you are all busy with school holidays...what have you been doing to keep the kiddies occupied?

MIne have visited gran and an auntie and had friends sleep over and visit friends....

Tommorrow nite we are off to the drive in to see Shrek 3 so that should be good although we will have to take lots of doonas or sleeping bags LOL...

I am still going to the gym at least four days a week and apart from the cold starts i am really loving it...i go in the afternoons on a tues as that is my early finish day and i must say that time suits my body better LOL....rather than 6am

I can however see a difference and it keeps me inspired to keep going.....the only thing is i have been rather naughty lately with my fave lollies home brand licorice allsorts and licorice bullets YUMMO!!!! So i am aiming to stop or at least slow down with them....

Okay im guessing i should dash...im waiting on zo to bring me a coffee but i may have to go get it myself....

Oh an update too the album i am working on for someones grandson is going fantastic.....i am really enjoying it...it is only 8x8 and so not fancy......i am using the scenic route range of papers and just doing the paped really basic...if i remember i shall take pics and maybe post a couple before i hand it over...i have done 11 of 20 pages,,,,,

Here i sit...

all dressed in our Hockey club team colours...i never thought i would....LOL.

My two kids have played for about 4 or 5 years and i have thought about it but i am a real sook and i think of what might happen rather than what wont. Yep im negative,,, anyway today the B Women team was short and they asked some of the younger players to fill in and Zoe has done it before so i decided i would too.

I was put on the wing...that means i run along the outside line in front of the ball or i run back and pay in the goal circle...i think...LOL...anyway i cannot believe i had a BALL and i even wanted the game to go on longer......

SO here i sit waiting for Leigh to get out of the shower so i can warm my bones....

I really need to get stuck into my housework but as im planning to put my warm pjs and mokkies on im thinking not much house work will get done.

Tommorrow i think the plan was to pick our tangelos...im not sure what daz has planned cause he is busy with work and the water situation...here in Sth Aust we have been allocated only 4% of our 100% water alocation so there are going to be lots of changes. He is doing something at work but in the short term for us it means we have to prune our apricots really quite small so they dont use too much water. Also with our new patch of trial apricots we planted last year we are going to have to put them on drip irrigation which means alot of time effort and money (as we then have to have a pump to run them) however although we only have 10 acres of mixed fruit and we both also work full time we are not as hard hit as alot of other people so that is something to be grateful for i guess. :)

This last week has shot by so quickly, i did 10 1/2 hours at work friday then went to watch Zoe play in the U15 girls team. It began to rain halfway thru the A mens Match and by the time we were ready to go home it was absolutely POURING down, i had my wipers on flat strap and was doing 80km on the main highway home...i just couldnt see....Zoe was panicking abit cause then we got a truck up our bum.....he ended up turning off where we turned off twice and made me nervous until he overtook me. And you know the suckiest thing.....the rain stopped like about 3km from our house...get home dry as a bone couldnt believe it.

Ive been very tired lately...i havent even made it to the gym since tues....i was in bed at 1/4 past 8 on tues wed and thurs nites...im thinking vitamins might be the go....i have absolutely NO ENERGY and most things seem too hard.
I went shopping last sunday and i made the kids clean the house as i couldnt bare to do it all by myself :)
Lets hope the magic pills help.......they are only womens vitamins:)

Umm what else can i rave on about to keep you reading....oh i took the day off on Monday so i could spend the day with Zoe. She had a pupil free so we did girly things all day...Leigh wasnt happy cause he had a pupil free on friday and i did nothing with him....didnt help that i only found out about his on the wed before....grrr kids gotta love em.

Now last time i posted i was going to add a frost pic...i shall see now if i can post it...stay tuned...okay they are there these are like only trees apart as we have tangelos in with the apricots so the bare tree is the apricot and the other obviously tangelos.

Okay Leigh is out the shower and im off to get warm......probably need to wash away any aches that might pop up LOL

Dilemma, Help wanted Please

Hiya girls a quick question...

I have offered to make an album for someone grandson, he was premmie and she wants to have pics from birth until now, he is four...

Now my question is should i chose a certain number of printed papers in different patterns ect but make sure they all blend or should i go with the flow and chose papers to match the pics....

my figuring of the same blend (different colours) so that i can repeat the themes thru the whole album with the least amount of fuss and bother...if i use chipboard shapes, ribbons, alphas and rubons i should get a decent album...

What are the thoughts from you girls...i am open to any suggestions as i want it to be fantastic....

While im here i may as well make a quick post...

I am so proud of my daughter...she doesnt like her hockey coach as he doesnt speak nicely to the kids and she basically told him she wasnt playing hockey for him because she didnt like the way he spoke to her and the other kids...

now i dont condone this usually, i believe that the kids should respect the person trying to teach them something however i let her go because at training on Wed night for one he wouldnt give her ball back to her,,,,she had to chase him and then her and her brother wrestled him to get the bag of balls away from him, after which as she went to run off he stuck his foot out and just about make her fall on he face...he must be nearly 17 and she is 11. Not very fitting behaviour for a coach i didnt think! He then went on to tell some of the other kids at hockey on saturday that he is doing his best and that all they do is muck around and dont listen to him...he makes them run laps and yells at them for this....i feel it is the age and that he needs the maturity to understand that kids especially girls are like this....i also feel he may be better off teaching a higher grade of hockey if he feels they dont listen to him...

Am i naughty to encourage my daughter do you think? LOL i dont cause i was never confident to stand up for myself and am only now learning to so i say GO GERT!!!

We had a meeting with her teacher the other day and basically Zoe has come along way, she is more confident and has the ability to focus on her work now whereas last year she was a total blonde LOL...we are so proud of her. Partly i feel it is because she has to organise herself alot more this year as my hours have changed and i am not home to get the kids ready every single day....i also feel her confidence and ability has come from the fact that her brother is no longer at the same school...maybe???

Okay im trying to post a photo of some icicles but the comp is being a pain so i shall come back to that....

A coupla things....

Well hi there long time no chat...things have been very busy here lately and ive not had time to scratch myself....LOL.

You know how it is when you have a million things to do and you keep putting them off trying to fit them into suit you and things just keep piling up??? You do?? Great cause thats where ive been...dont worry its nothing major or even very exciting but as of last night i finally got it all together and covered about ohhh 10 things on my list.

Ive needed to make a drs appoint for over 12 months..naughty yes i know well i finally did it.
Ive needed to make a dentist appointment and ive finally done it.....
ive needed to ring my step mum for her 60th (for Sat) and i finally did it....I
chatted to Dad about his bday ....
I rang my cousin about something that i ddidnt want to hold her up from....
I ranf my uncle to see how they survived the weather in Newcastle....they live at Heddon Greta...theyre fine...
I rang my auntie in Qld to see how the house moving went....great
I rang my brother in Mildura just because...

So i am finally happy and settled...now the most pressing things are...register the car....sort the hospital fund stuff out so we can claim back some money for Leighs braces and that shall do it for the time being.

Bec i havent checked in with you yet....im hoping all is welll with you after all the rain.....for everyone else affected i hope all is okay as it can be and that you are all safe...

On to other matters now...in no particular order....LOL

Zoe was part of a music beginners day the other week...see attatched pic...she made the paper....

Leigh now has his braces on...it took no time at all and he is getting used to them....they look nice actually not how i expected them to look....

We went to Adelaide on thurs nite and stayed with a friend, we went via Sedan cause she lives in the Hills and on the way we stopped and saw a wombat...what a hoot that was imagine these two crazy people running thru the scrub with a camera in the air trying to get a photo...needless to say we only got the scrub..i think LOL...about 20 mtrs down the road Daz slammed on the brakes and i thought he was being funny doing skiddies but no there was a gorgoeus grey kangaroo hopping alongside the car (thank god for Toyota Utes LOL) then we saw a bunny.....it certainly slowed that trip down but we got there safe in the end.

On Fri we took my friends daughter into town with us and we went to IKEA....

i could have quite easily smacked this lady with an ikea bag or something.......(and im not violent but she made me very angry)

she had a bag of (glasses) im assuming on her arm, the kids were playing with some of the kitchen items near where she was...and she says to her friend....*oh wouldnt it be funny if *someone* bumped into my bag and broke my glasses?? Her friend replied....oh yes wouldnt it...then the snotty nosed bitch turned around and said to her friend *you would think these children would be in school wouldnt you??* ( now the kids werent THAT close to her)

WELL!!!!!!! as she walked past me i gave her the glare of death and said....these are my children and i can decide whether or not they should be in school.....i dont think it is anyone elses business.....

AND im hoping none of you reading this was that lady LOL.......as she walked off leigh goes mum can i get her with these...brandishing a fancy set of knives LOL...luckily i did say no........

On sat we decided to head home but we needed to go to IKEA first as we had decided to buy some new wardrobes...we got it all sorted paid for it all and had been trying to get a transport company to deliver home but no one was answering their phones so there was nothing else for it but to pack it in the ute ( thank god again for Toyota Utes) and take it home ourselves......

I thought we had absolutely no blooming hope but after shoving doonas under the kids bums, sleeping bags at their feet and pillows between them we did managed to get it all in....two little suitcases, two huge long packages and 8 huge wire drawers later...i wish i had taken a photo now...

Sunday we decided to put the wardrobes together only 6 hrs for the first one and about 1.5 for the second...probably had something to do with all the coffee breaks and chokkie frogs we were eating.....friends daughter is going to Melb and was fundraising so we brought $40 worth of froggies....all i can say is thank god we are sharing them and going to the gym LOL.

Anyway by Monday nite we had all the wardrobes installed and filled oh bliss...i shall post pics later on.

What other news...oh after hockey the other weekend we popped into see my cousin and her family...Narelle and Carl had a premmie baby born in Jan and the kids hadnt seem her yet so we popped in to see them for a couple of hours,,,it was a lovely visit and Lexi christened me with a upchuck LOL....

Work is going good and im enjoying it......ive not done alot of scrapping lately....i brought the latest mags but i was actually quite disappointed in them......

Well if you have mananged to read to the end of this i thankyou and hope that youenjoyed my dribble LOL,,,,,im off to make a coffee and then im going to check out a few blogs and tidy up before i have to go to drop leigh hockey bag off for training this arvo then go to work,,,then go pick him and his ssister up at prob 6pm....gotta love it dontcha..

Hi all...

Boring Boring Post ahead....nothing to reprt whatsoever

Not much been happening in my world...its been busy with a lot of different stuff...work mainly and running after the kids....

Leigh got his other molar pulled out on thursday and we are off to adelaide in two weeks for the braces to be fitted.....we are going to be staying with a friend in woodside:)

The kids played some good games of hockey today...we have not been home long but i have a load of washing in and a pot of pea and ham soup on the stove for tea...yummo.....

So what have you all been up too lately?? I need to do some blog hopping...ive not been on the net much lately and i haven t been scrapping either,,,too tired and in bed early....

We have had a dog over the road bark every single night and solidly since last sunday nite...we didnt hear it even over the fan last night hope fully some one has done something with it...i dont care what, moved it away gone on holidays or whatever...im just glad it shut up!LOL

Well i might go surfing and see whats happening in blog land

Missing Post

Not sure where the last post went of zoes near goal went so here it is again.

Post 2 for Sunday!

Okay so it has posted as two different posts....this is DD after being SO close to scoring a hockey goal on the weeeknd. The goalie was just too good. See the photo in the previous post to see how close Zoe was to being successful and the look on her face says it all!

Poor baby...
She ended up playing 3 games yesterday and leigh played 2...he wanted to play u17 but his name wasnt on the card so he's not allowed to for that game.

We got home from Loxton at about 3.30 and i just crashed... i went to bed for a nanna nap i was so tired....i got up again at 5 feeling a bit better.
I think im going to take my multivitamins again as at the moment im just feeling a bit run down....prob a combination of the early morning gym starts and the late week at work this week but if i dont go to the gym then i know i wont go any other time.

I dont know about anyone else but once im home i hate going out again.

Speaking of going out...we are having tea at the renovated hotel tonight with some friends....we we supposed to go to their anniversary tea but didnt didnt make it so tonights the night...i wonder how expensive its going to be???

Not done any scrapping this weekend..i was planning to join in the chook scraps cyber crop as i had so much fun last month but time has not permitted this weekend....oh well:(

We have to drop one of the kids friends home before we go out for tea so im guessing id best sort the kids out to have showers and stuff..

Oh Leigh did really well with his teeth being pulled out apparantly...he does have to go back on thurs to get the other one pulled out....not sure why they didnt do the three at the same time like they were going too....*fang* was about 2 cms long!!!!!! I could not believe a tooth could be so long....he also got a haircut for the first time in ages so i have this gorgeous creature back again that i can actually see his eyes and his *wicked* eyebrows...family joke....:)

Zoe has to miss hockey training this week as she has put her hand up to be in a music thingo...not sure what its for but they will be performing at a later date with kids from other schools...it is auditions..i will be suprised if she gets in cause she never practises....but she may be like Leigh how has a good ear and can play naturally....(grrr) wish i did LOL

Fang is going....

Who is fang you ask?? Well see that peggy hiding behind the other one...he is quite a tall tooth and he is getting taken out tommorrow....so is one behind the third tooth at the top on the left.....why...??

Well on the 8th of June Leigh is getting braces and there is no room in his mouth for all of his teeth. He also already has four wisdom teeth growing forward (or is that out?) Im not sure...i am concerned about the fact he is getting teeth pulled but after seeing the xrays i can see why this is to be so.

He is absolutely crapping himself and so am i! That is why i am not taking him to get his teeth taken out...i am such a woos and i feel nauseaous at the thought!! Dad is doing it for him.

On a lighter note the above creation is Zoe playing with her food...now i know we shouldnt encourage our children playing with their food but Zo is so good at it isnt she LOL.....this girl has us in stitches all the time she is so darn funny and i absolutley love her to pieces.

The little guy looks like Rocko form *Rocko's Modern Life cartoon* any one remember that????

Umm i was going to tell you something else but i cant remember.....

i subbed to For Keeps on the weekend...they were asking for boy pages and i have loved the ones i am doing at the moment (yeah yeah brag brag) so i sent them in...ive not heard anything but i have no idea what the process is anyway so i will just wait. You may remember i subbed (some of you) a while again and sent my LO away but never heard back so i am guessing they didnt want that LO LOL......

Bec and i *met* when our girls were 3 months old.....we used to penpal.......we did lose touch for a couple of years but im so glad she found me......at one stage she moved to Mildura so we got to meet in person twice but they then moved back to NSW......

Ummm not sure what else to dribble on about so i guess i shall go.....i am starting late today so im planning to go scrap for a bit before work.....oh i SO wish my scrap room was inside the house now.......or that i had a comp that works in my scrap room.....i spend far too much time on here when i could be playing elsewhere hahaha...hope everyone had a good mothers day......

I didnt not really....very low key...i went for a 4km walk thou and i hit the gym so i felt good:)

My little baby brought me a tiny beanie kid bride bear and a beanie bear grizzly toy...no guesses who the grizzly was on mothers day LOL.......(oh no it wasnt me!!!)

Weekend Half gone already.....

Hmmm another week gone...where?
i am sure i dont know.
It is already quarter past 6 on Sat nite......im heading out to my scrap room soon...i have itchy fingers to create LOL

It already has been a busy weekend. Zoe played her first hockey match for u15 last night...it was quite chilly and we stayed to watch the A grade men, A grade women and the U17 girls play. we got home at about 10pm.....boy i was enjoying the sleepin this morning...no such luck tommorrow, im off to the gym, i didnt manage to get there friday...

Today i was working so missed the U13 match of Zoes and Leighs U15 match.
He is going to also play the U17's and the younger girls have asked Zoe to join the U17's to make up numbers.....

Im keen because she has gotten on really well with the girls, they have made her feel so welcome and they seem more tolerant of her where her peers dont seem to feel the same way....hmmm dunno but i dont care she is happy and i am happy.

I have posted a lo of each of my kids from last year in the uniforms of the sport i am talking about........

I had this huge long winded informative post ready to go and the damn computer froze and ive lost it all....ggggrrrrrr!!!!!!

First Cyber Crop!!! What fun!

I had my first cyber crop last night and today at chookscraps....i dont know how to add a link but there is one in my side bar.

I completed 3 challenges with one more to go.
I have uploaded the photos for you to have a squiz at.

They have come up in reverse order.....

Some advice challenge number 1 LO had to include a frame with either circles or squares on it. Two or more paper clips and two or more photos...im happy with how it turned out :)

Time to get wet was challenge number 2. I had to use either transparency or vellum with a combination of two or more primary colours. Eg red/blue, yellow/red ect.
My SR paper had all the primary colours in it.

Challenge 3 was a scraplift and it had to either have the number in included on the LO or be a scraplift of a celebration.

Challenge 4 is make a birthday card...i have yet to do this challenge but i have a nephew turning 11 on Monday so i will do it before them.

Scrapbook Station Blog Challenge number 2

We have been asked to upload pics of something that drives us crazy.......well apart from the junk mail...piles of stuff...dirty washing every where...wet towels left where they shouldnt be...ect ect im sure you ALL get the picture LOL....

Here are two pics of something that drives me crazy...they are old pics but by no means have the occupants learnt to be any tidier LOL....

I often take pics of this subject and share with a friend when the said occupants are in a really piggy mood LOL

I also want to bullet point some things...

THANKYOU to the girls who left a reply in my angry blog rant.....i am feeling a bit better and have even attempted to talk to DH...funnily enough he has said to me that he has felt that i have wanted to get away....YES....he has also felt that i have lost something......YES....and that ive not really been happy .....YES.....anyway lets hope that this weekend when we go away some things can be amended.....

It is our 18th wedding anniversary on Sat and we are going to Mildura for a well earned holiday break...just the four of us and no one has been told we are going to be there....selfish i know but this is OUR time.....

We have dates for Leigh to get his braces......8th of June is the big day but before that 2 teeth need to come out...he already has his *4* wisdom teeth and they are going to cause some trouble but are not able to come out yet....sheesh.....the moulds of his mouth were amazing....!!!

The orthodontist says he is going to be minimum 6ft but he says he tells everyone that...well Leigh is not quite 14 and has been in size 12 shoes since the beginning of the year.....he is 164cm tall...look out mum and dad......i knew he was going to be tall...my poppa was 6ft 5 my brother is close to that..

Leigh is having his first U/11 coaching session tonight....he loves hockey and put his name forward to coach this year and was accepted...he also wants to learn to umpire......

Just trying to think of some more stuff but brain has gone to mush....so i might stop here and catch you all later...nothing exciting to report though:)

Layouts for my no shopping challenge at Scrapboxx

I put my hand up to do 15 layouts for a challenge on Scrapboxx.....we are to use our stash without buying any more stuff.....well so far i have done quite a few layouts (not sure exact total now).....some are doubled up in the collage but im not sure why it does that...i will work on that as i go ..

Hope you like these layouts...i am feeling quite uninhibited in doing these layouts...some obviously better than others and for this i have no excuse but hey thems the breaks...i am really only doing them for my self and my family nayway..

Can anyone give me any ideas on why i can leave comments on some blogs and not others...its driving me nuts.....

on some blogs my name comes up and all i have to do is type a comment press a button and it posts my comment.

On other blogs i have to do word verification and put in my name and password but since it has changed over to google i CANNOT log in to any blog it always says my password is incorrect...i have tried numerous combinations of blogger and google but no such luck!!!! I use my google email addy and everything....it just WONT work....

What can i do to change this cause it makes me crazy and it takes forever only to find out that i cant leave a comment anyway!!!

Im angry

Im angry at so many things. Things i cant articulate. Im angry at my teenage son because he gets angry at me. I get angry at my husband because he has me on a pedestal and i dont want to be there. Im angry when he calls me beautiful and gorgeous because im not.
Im angry that we cant even find the time to sit and talk together. Im angry that i had to give up something i wanted to help him with his dreams that i frankly dont care about....it means i have to give up my time to help him fill his, i dont want ot do that. Im angry that i cant just sit in a room by myself without someone interupting me and they seeing the anger on my face. I am angry that i make my loved ones scared of me. My son hates it when i yell because it scares him. Can he not see if he didnt make me angry i wouldnt need to yell? Im angry that plans change at a minutes notice and i am not told...these plans are important to how i need to plan my day...eg having to later go and pick someone up from somewhere they didnt say they were going.
I am angry that i feel that my identity has been taken away and i have to do so many things for other perople...why do i feel angry that i cant do something for myself without people judging?
Why when i want this time by myself and for want of another word be selfish why can they not fend for themselves and not leave a mess for me to have to follow behind them and clean up. This is my family and it makes me angry. Im angry that i cant talk to my husband. He dumped a huge bombshell on me and im am too scared to dump this bombshell cause im too scared to find out what it really means....

Im scared and i am angry...i am writing this with tears in my eyes i am just so scared...i have no goals and dont know what i want but im scared that this life is not it....i dont mean im going to do anything stupid...i just dont know what the future holds....im scared and angry that i dont know what i want,,its crazy, a woman my age should know what i want....im also angry that the goals i did have or did think of persuing were labelled *not good enough*

Please dont think im going to do anything crazy i just need to get this out and im scared if i ring my best friend she will get sad and its not fair to her.....

It takes SSSOOOO long

I want broadband...although we cant get it in our area at the moment...we are looking into the Activate me BB.
I was a bit skeptical but DH assures me that it is wouth it money wise and my good friend tells me it is worth it time wise as everythingis just so much faster...bring it on i say cause im sick of sitting here for ages trying to get places.....i get bored and tend to leave half way thru something.

Well i think i will just bullet point things from the last weekas i really should get some things done around the place.

Monday went to Adelaide to see the orthodontist for DS to get the xrays and moulds done of his teeth.
Much to ds discust i managed a trp to meet Janine at Scrapbook Station and also managed to sneak a trip into spotlight on the second floor near rundle mall....picked up some great bargains....UL papers for 50c huge monogrammend chipboard alphas for $8..reduced from $24 so i was in heaven...LOL

While in Adelaide we went to IKEA...and had a ball i might add...just about tripped over all the drool running down my chin fro all the gorgeous goodies.....we need a new bedroom suite well wardrobes anyway and i did find some i liked so time will tell....athough i think DH is panicking a bit about this last of water business because his job relys on water who knows if he is even going tho have a job....let alone us be able to run our fruit property.

This year was pretty grim...we didnt cut and dry our peaches, we didint pick our sultanas either due to lack of water and the liklihood of not getting money back to cover costs...hence we left them...

Tues.. was DD's round robin basketball games dotn know if they actually won or not but they all received a ribbon of participation...i was quite impressed with Zoe's skills at basketball....according to Daddy she has quite a good arm on her and can throw the ball quite aways...pity the girls on the team dont chose to throw to her...rather search out a *friend* sorry but it irks me...if you are in a team them every member of the team is important enough to have the ball passed to them. IYKWIM??

Wed i worked until 5 then took Zoe to Berri for hockey training then brought both her and leigh home...he went earlier...we got home to a yummy meal cooked by daddy......

Thursday....dunno was just busy and worked til 5...

Friday....worked til 5...oh the neighbour popped over to introduce himself and invited us to his housewarming, housemates 21st and end of harvest party.....we did decide not to go however as we arent really party people and we would rather keep to ourselves.

Saturday worked at the LSS...was a quiet morning there...got home all inspired and did some scrapping but not before i rearranged my room..heehee

Sunday had a bit of a sleep in...the band was VERY loud last night LOL......went to the block and the kids and i decided to scrape the apricots so thank goodness.....WE HAVE NOW FINISHED THE APRICOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep im excited....there is a tiny end in site,,,,,wish me luck anyway...

Back Again

Well life sure ticks along at a fast and furious pace doesnt it.

We have been busy but with nothing in particular....we have been running the kids around a bit at the moment.

Last wednesday was a doozy....Zoe had to be at basketball in renmark by 5.30. Leigh had to be in Berri for Hockey at 6pm then back to Renmark by 7 for his airbrushing course he is doing. Meanwhile i worked until 5 and Daz had to do some running around.

In the morning i took Leigh to the orthodontist who announced that he is now ready for his braces!

He said well i dont need to ask if he has grown ,,, i can see he has....i measured him in Sept 06 and until Mar 07 he had gone from 159.5cm to 164cm tall.....im guessing he will be around the 6 1 or 6 2 mark. My grandpa was VERY tall and my brother is tall as welll should be interesting and in so saying i think Zoe will be his height or taller. She has to have braces too and will be going back for her check in Dec......

We are off to Adelaide on the 19th March to get his moulds and xrays done......im hoping to pop into Scrapbook Station for a visit..it is a nice forum i have joined lately, there are alot of new names to me but also some names i know...it is a smaller forum and it is a very friendly bunch of gals.....close to the riverland for a visit too...LOL

While in Adel i want to go to visit IKEA......daz said so we are going to take the ute then....i said yeah may as well,,,never know what you night find haha.

Ummm lets see what else have we been up too...we cut our pears...yay...this year we only had about nine bins and last year we had 19...blame the mini tornado we had in Jan and the lack of water...grrr

We pruned our apples the other day,,,,we have needed to thin htem out to let the sunlight get into the middle of the trees or they dont colour up...would be a shame if we cant sell then cause theyre green....

Been having issues with DS...grrrr why do they be charming one minute to get what they want then the next minute you say no and they have jsut gone off and done what you have said no to....on the weekend to cut a long stroy short...leigh wanted to take his bike to my sisters where we were going for lunch....we had said no because he didnt hang out the washing like i asked him too.....i left to go to my sisters with zoe and he msgd me saying oh ive hung out the washing...yeah well too bad cause if you had come with me you wouldnt have had the time to hang it out so basically NO BIKE. We get to my sisters and are there for a while then there is a msg on my phone...going to get my bike...i msgd back good for you.....anyway dad went and got him and told him off...

he walked off with his cousin and home is like 6kms from sisters....you know what he told his dad........mum said good for you but the whole reason i got pis*ed off was he made it sound like i told him too....GGGRRRR.

Anyway later on during the weekend Leigh told me dad wanted to take him to a councillor and *he wasnt going* and why....i said because dad and i need to find out how to help you thru this and how to cope with your moods

and he doesnt seem to be doing to well at school...he thinks he is failing,,,,,so we are going to follow up with a visit to the school and try to sort this out....although i can thelp feeling each time we want to tlak to him it comes across as a lecture....and i hate that....any ideas from anyone with teens??? Is it just boys???

We have implemented a roster with points here at home to try to tackle this no chores business and the kids earning the right to go to town or friends.....where leigh seems to think its his right to go and bugger any one else LOL

He doesnt seem keen to give it a go and he just had a go at his sister saying she takes everything over......the reason she does this is cause he wont even try.... this councillor visit will be interesting,....i hope we can manage it soon...i think there are issues there too...

Im generally just rambling this post i guess just trying to get some things straight in my head.....i know everyone else has issues with their kids so i guess im just wondering how others manage...are we jumping the gun with the councillor bit or not.....or is it a good idea...im all for ways to keep on track with him cause sometimes i just wanna throw my hands in the air and go to my room...LOL

Okay here are my five final LO to share. These are in not particular order actually they all touch me in different ways.

Layout 6 Leighs nickname is Matt...he loves his music...this layout is a recent challenge i did for Riverland Scrapbooking Supplies....you had to scrap using an ad as inspiration...

Layout 7 Earth Angel....just because i love my daughter she loves dangly earrings so i was glad to get a shot of them too:)

Layout 8 Believe in yourself.....Zoe plays Hockey as well and after 3 years ( i think) she finally managed to get her first goal and she was just so excited how could i resist scrapping that milestone?

Layout 9 Freckles...i couldnt help it she is jsut the cutest...i have actually added a big flower to this layout but have never uploaded the new one....mmmmm

Layout 10 This is the first time i ever saw the resemblance between my daughter and myself...the layout itself is old and i dont much like it but i have included it because of the resemblance,

Okay here are layouts 2 3 4 and 5 in quick order....
2 Hockey is your world. This is about my sons love of hockey....he is furthering that love this year, he applied to become a coach at the local hockey club and he has been named assistant coach of the U11 team and he couldnt be more happy. We are so proud of him.

Layout 3 is what i want from life. Some of them are very simple things because as you get older i believe we mellow and things that were important once dont seem to be anymore and i am so happy with that. The layout is a scraplift from Mardi's class at the Riverland Scrapfest held in Berri in Nov 06.

Layout 4 Is of my very bestest friend Deniose and me. We have only met each other twice but we chat on the phone all the time...we are soul sisters...she knows things about me no one else bar my hubby knows.

Layout 5 is so special to me because the photo brings tears to my eyes when i look at it closely...my little baby is nearly 14 years old....i love the twinkle in his eye, his wonderful smile and if i look closely the bit that touches my heart in the deepest way i could ever imagine is that he has the tiniest bit of face fluff.........boo hoo.
I adore this little bloke with the size 12 feet and the fact that he is nearly as tall as his 5ft 9 half inch mother:)

This photo is of my husband Darrel. I love him to pieces and i could have so easily lost him back in June of 2006 when he fell from a utility and broke his hip. I just thank god he wasnt by himself as it was minus 7 degrees that night by 8.30 and he could have died from the cold alone.
I love you Daz, you are my everything.

Heres some of what we got up to today

Here is just a taste of what we got up to today for about 1.5hrs. Yay...it has been so long since we have been in the boat since last summer and then it was only a few days....since Darrel broke his hip we have been putting it off...id rather he not go out until next summer cause the dr said 12 months before water sports...well that was 8 months ago...and boy hasnt that time gone quick.

This morning we went out to the block to scrape some apricots off the trays and one day i am going to post some pictures of our sequence of fruit growing from Dec thru to April.....:)

After we got home at about 1.45 i was tired and so i had a nanna nap ready for the river trip...it was just heavenly and the water was gorgeous...not bad seeings as it wasnt all that hot today...

Anyway im go9ing blog hopping and Kathie has set a challenge to upload any 10 of our fave layouts and why they are special to us.......im not sure how i am going to do it in one post...it may be easier to do 10! I shall see....dont forget to say hi:)

A layout to share

I did this layout using Lil Davis oval words and the little frames to go with them.
It is a product challenge from Riverland Scrapbooking Supplies for February. I am really happy with this layout.
It basically tells the story of time...In time Leigh i have learnt to trust you, i respect you and i believe in you....and how much we love him. I used the transparancies as i wanted to include the passing of time. This is a pic of him taken walking to the bus stop on his first day of High School.

It is one of my current faves.

Hmmm in the background following on from last post....Zoe is now up and i can tell by the god awful sounds coming from the trombone LOL yep she is playing the trombone this year......leigh played it two years ago....

Aahhh the decadence of it all....

we are off in the speedboat today,,,yay ! I cannot tell you the last time we went in it cause it was too bloody long ago,,,maybe a couple of times last summer maybe???

We have been SO busy these last few months.... daz and i are supposed to be on holidays this week and doing work at the block,,,,, we had our audit yesterday and we are no longer with SQF 1000 but are now with HACCAP. WHat does this mean you ask,,,,welll buggered if i know LOL.....all i know is we are now allowed to produce and sell our fruit again....not that we were banned its jsut an ongoing thing we need done every year to ensure our stuff is up to quality and we can trace our fruit from point of sale back to us if ever there is a problem.

Now back to the hoildays...i went to work on tuesday as the boss needed me to come in as she was short staffed...i didnt mind i started at 7.30 and was gone by 11.15 so that was great.
Daz has been going in at 6 every morning and coming home later in the morning but our time has been filled with organising paperwork and stuff for this audit.

Darrel surprised me by asking if i wanted to go out in the boat. He said ask chooky what she is doing and ask her to come to. So i did and she said yes...so that makes it legal...2 drivers ( so we can have a kneeboard as well) and always one spotter.

I am a bit scared actually, there has been alot of accidents on the rivers lately..one guy died a few weeks ago after hitting a pylon on the bridge at paringa. Theres been more and it has made me a bit nervous...although on a thursday morning you would think that not many people would be on the river:)

In between all of this we should be scraping the 600 apricot trays we still have here and picking pears but where is the time.....ahhh shit happens and tommorrow will be the scraping day.....hmmm must sprinkle them down today to get a bit of moisture back into them.

So much else has been happening as well. Im trying to organise my scrap room and i want to get into the office here and go thru the filing cabinets ect......i wanna do some of the *you never see it done* cleaning....

I might leave it here for today only cause i want to see this new blogger....and i need to get zoe up for school little devil.

Oh an ongoing project i have been doing is going thru my photos. Over the last few months i have been culling photos and pulling them out of the sticky albums and last weekend i brought 6 new 300 pocket albums and they are now filled with photos all chronologically dated. (12 in total to date)

Only thing is i realised that since getting my digitals we havent added any photos since 2004! Eek so i am now in the process of burning cds to go into the albums as follow ons,,,,let me just say 800 photos and still counting!!!!!!!! Luckily we have alocal photo kiosk that you can do 200 pics at a time and it only costs around $40. I did 30 6x8 and 170 4x6 one day and it only came to $47.00.

I feel this is a reasonable cost and we love to look thru albums so i will bring them back inside to reminise over:)

Okay this girl of mine is still not out of bed,,,bettter go raz her up...LOL

What a fab two weeks...and fast!!! phew!!!

Well havent these two weeks flown already....Im hoping all you mums had an okay start to the school year and the fretful babes managed to hang in there okay and get to like school ...lol.
Mine have had an awesome beginning, i am so amazed.

I told Zoe i was so proud of her...we had a little talk at the beginning of the holidays about her being in grade 6 now and that she really had to learn how to get herself ready and begin her homework as soon as she got home from school....she has done all this and more...this girl of mine is so great. Every night she has here school clothes on the floor at the end of her bed (who am i to argue) she has her bag packed with all her homework and notes also packed. The only thing she has to do is pop her lunch in every day. My two used to have showers each nite but now they are bothup early for showers...zoe has her alarm set every day for 6 oclock....if i have a later start they get to sleep in.....

Not to leave Leigh out...he has been brilliant! He gets home every night sits at his desk and works on his homework. Last year his report was quite disappointing in that the teacher said he could have acheived so much had he put in the effort. We told him this year he has to do this..and so far he is not argueing at all it is all going well.

Im so proud of them and have told them so......

Leigh will be soon starting an airbrush course that he has been waiting to start for over 12 months,,,,he is very artistic and i want to encourage it.

Zoe is taking up the trombone this year...good on ya zo....leigh played it in grade 5 and his music teacher says he has an aptitude for music (he can play by ear) so leigh can help her practice Lol....

Zo also wants to do greek dancing at her school this year as well as participate in the active after school program where there are activites run on a mon and thurs night.....eg next week is orienteering and rowing?? So she is right into the getting fit business....

A question for any mums who may be going thru the same thing leigh isnt eating at school....im trying to pack him stuff he can walk around and eat but it doesnt seem to mkae much difference,,,,he isnt eating it when he comes home either...any suggestions would be welcome...i ask what he wants and he says he isnt hungry so nothing but i cant send him with no food now can i??

On a more sombre note today is the one year anniversary death of my younger sisters fiancee from snake bite. They have their ups and downs however they are coping well...i have an inkling that my sister may move back to Adelaide though. But i guess time will tell.

I may leave it here for now as it is getting late. I wanted to go to the drive in to see A night at the museum but its not to be Daz has jsut gotten home from doing water and its now too late to go... maybe tommorrow:)
