I love your layouts they are so bright fresh and funky....there are lots of things i like about them...the colours for sports day....the way you have used the UL papers and just your general photography is gorgeous too...so heres my comments that i couldnt blog to you...

It takes SSSOOOO long
I want broadband...although we cant get it in our area at the moment...we are looking into the Activate me BB.
I was a bit skeptical but DH assures me that it is wouth it money wise and my good friend tells me it is worth it time wise as everythingis just so much faster...bring it on i say cause im sick of sitting here for ages trying to get places.....i get bored and tend to leave half way thru something.
Well i think i will just bullet point things from the last weekas i really should get some things done around the place.
Monday went to Adelaide to see the orthodontist for DS to get the xrays and moulds done of his teeth.
Much to ds discust i managed a trp to meet Janine at Scrapbook Station and also managed to sneak a trip into spotlight on the second floor near rundle mall....picked up some great bargains....UL papers for 50c huge monogrammend chipboard alphas for $8..reduced from $24 so i was in heaven...LOL
While in Adelaide we went to IKEA...and had a ball i might add...just about tripped over all the drool running down my chin fro all the gorgeous goodies.....we need a new bedroom suite well wardrobes anyway and i did find some i liked so time will tell....athough i think DH is panicking a bit about this last of water business because his job relys on water who knows if he is even going tho have a job....let alone us be able to run our fruit property.
This year was pretty grim...we didnt cut and dry our peaches, we didint pick our sultanas either due to lack of water and the liklihood of not getting money back to cover costs...hence we left them...
Tues.. was DD's round robin basketball games dotn know if they actually won or not but they all received a ribbon of participation...i was quite impressed with Zoe's skills at basketball....according to Daddy she has quite a good arm on her and can throw the ball quite aways...pity the girls on the team dont chose to throw to her...rather search out a *friend* sorry but it irks me...if you are in a team them every member of the team is important enough to have the ball passed to them. IYKWIM??
Wed i worked until 5 then took Zoe to Berri for hockey training then brought both her and leigh home...he went earlier...we got home to a yummy meal cooked by daddy......
Thursday....dunno was just busy and worked til 5...
Friday....worked til 5...oh the neighbour popped over to introduce himself and invited us to his housewarming, housemates 21st and end of harvest party.....we did decide not to go however as we arent really party people and we would rather keep to ourselves.
Saturday worked at the LSS...was a quiet morning there...got home all inspired and did some scrapping but not before i rearranged my room..heehee
Sunday had a bit of a sleep in...the band was VERY loud last night LOL......went to the block and the kids and i decided to scrape the apricots so thank goodness.....WE HAVE NOW FINISHED THE APRICOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep im excited....there is a tiny end in site,,,,,wish me luck anyway...

Back Again
Well life sure ticks along at a fast and furious pace doesnt it.
We have been busy but with nothing in particular....we have been running the kids around a bit at the moment.
Last wednesday was a doozy....Zoe had to be at basketball in renmark by 5.30. Leigh had to be in Berri for Hockey at 6pm then back to Renmark by 7 for his airbrushing course he is doing. Meanwhile i worked until 5 and Daz had to do some running around.
In the morning i took Leigh to the orthodontist who announced that he is now ready for his braces!
He said well i dont need to ask if he has grown ,,, i can see he has....i measured him in Sept 06 and until Mar 07 he had gone from 159.5cm to 164cm tall.....im guessing he will be around the 6 1 or 6 2 mark. My grandpa was VERY tall and my brother is tall as welll should be interesting and in so saying i think Zoe will be his height or taller. She has to have braces too and will be going back for her check in Dec......
We are off to Adelaide on the 19th March to get his moulds and xrays done......im hoping to pop into Scrapbook Station for a visit..it is a nice forum i have joined lately, there are alot of new names to me but also some names i know...it is a smaller forum and it is a very friendly bunch of gals.....close to the riverland for a visit too...LOL
While in Adel i want to go to visit IKEA......daz said so we are going to take the ute then....i said yeah may as well,,,never know what you night find haha.
Ummm lets see what else have we been up too...we cut our pears...yay...this year we only had about nine bins and last year we had 19...blame the mini tornado we had in Jan and the lack of water...grrr
We pruned our apples the other day,,,,we have needed to thin htem out to let the sunlight get into the middle of the trees or they dont colour up...would be a shame if we cant sell then cause theyre green....
Been having issues with DS...grrrr why do they be charming one minute to get what they want then the next minute you say no and they have jsut gone off and done what you have said no to....on the weekend to cut a long stroy short...leigh wanted to take his bike to my sisters where we were going for lunch....we had said no because he didnt hang out the washing like i asked him too.....i left to go to my sisters with zoe and he msgd me saying oh ive hung out the washing...yeah well too bad cause if you had come with me you wouldnt have had the time to hang it out so basically NO BIKE. We get to my sisters and are there for a while then there is a msg on my phone...going to get my bike...i msgd back good for you.....anyway dad went and got him and told him off...
he walked off with his cousin and home is like 6kms from sisters....you know what he told his dad........mum said good for you but the whole reason i got pis*ed off was he made it sound like i told him too....GGGRRRR.
Anyway later on during the weekend Leigh told me dad wanted to take him to a councillor and *he wasnt going* and why....i said because dad and i need to find out how to help you thru this and how to cope with your moods
and he doesnt seem to be doing to well at school...he thinks he is failing,,,,,so we are going to follow up with a visit to the school and try to sort this out....although i can thelp feeling each time we want to tlak to him it comes across as a lecture....and i hate that....any ideas from anyone with teens??? Is it just boys???
We have implemented a roster with points here at home to try to tackle this no chores business and the kids earning the right to go to town or friends.....where leigh seems to think its his right to go and bugger any one else LOL
He doesnt seem keen to give it a go and he just had a go at his sister saying she takes everything over......the reason she does this is cause he wont even try.... this councillor visit will be interesting,....i hope we can manage it soon...i think there are issues there too...
Im generally just rambling this post i guess just trying to get some things straight in my head.....i know everyone else has issues with their kids so i guess im just wondering how others manage...are we jumping the gun with the councillor bit or not.....or is it a good idea...im all for ways to keep on track with him cause sometimes i just wanna throw my hands in the air and go to my room...LOL

my 5 final layouts to share
Okay here are my five final LO to share. These are in not particular order actually they all touch me in different ways.
Layout 6 Leighs nickname is Matt...he loves his music...this layout is a recent challenge i did for Riverland Scrapbooking Supplies....you had to scrap using an ad as inspiration...
Layout 7 Earth Angel....just because i love my daughter she loves dangly earrings so i was glad to get a shot of them too:)
Layout 8 Believe in yourself.....Zoe plays Hockey as well and after 3 years ( i think) she finally managed to get her first goal and she was just so excited how could i resist scrapping that milestone?
Layout 9 Freckles...i couldnt help it she is jsut the cutest...i have actually added a big flower to this layout but have never uploaded the new one....mmmmm
Layout 10 This is the first time i ever saw the resemblance between my daughter and myself...the layout itself is old and i dont much like it but i have included it because of the resemblance,

Okay here are layouts 2 3 4 and 5 in quick order....2 Hockey is your world. This is about my sons love of hockey....he is furthering that love this year, he applied to become a coach at the local hockey club and he has been named assistant coach of the U11 team and he couldnt be more happy. We are so proud of him.
Layout 3 is what i want from life. Some of them are very simple things because as you get older i believe we mellow and things that were important once dont seem to be anymore and i am so happy with that. The layout is a scraplift from Mardi's class at the Riverland Scrapfest held in Berri in Nov 06.
Layout 4 Is of my very bestest friend Deniose and me. We have only met each other twice but we chat on the phone all the time...we are soul sisters...she knows things about me no one else bar my hubby knows.
Layout 5 is so special to me because the photo brings tears to my eyes when i look at it closely...my little baby is nearly 14 years old....i love the twinkle in his eye, his wonderful smile and if i look closely the bit that touches my heart in the deepest way i could ever imagine is that he has the tiniest bit of face fluff.........boo hoo.
I adore this little bloke with the size 12 feet and the fact that he is nearly as tall as his 5ft 9 half inch mother:)

This photo is of my husband Darrel. I love him to pieces and i could have so easily lost him back in June of 2006 when he fell from a utility and broke his hip. I just thank god he wasnt by himself as it was minus 7 degrees that night by 8.30 and he could have died from the cold alone.
I love you Daz, you are my everything.
Heres some of what we got up to today
Here is just a taste of what we got up to today for about 1.5hrs. Yay...it has been so long since we have been in the boat since last summer and then it was only a few days....since Darrel broke his hip we have been putting it off...id rather he not go out until next summer cause the dr said 12 months before water sports...well that was 8 months ago...and boy hasnt that time gone quick.
This morning we went out to the block to scrape some apricots off the trays and one day i am going to post some pictures of our sequence of fruit growing from Dec thru to April.....:)
After we got home at about 1.45 i was tired and so i had a nanna nap ready for the river trip...it was just heavenly and the water was gorgeous...not bad seeings as it wasnt all that hot today...
Anyway im go9ing blog hopping and Kathie has set a challenge to upload any 10 of our fave layouts and why they are special to us.......im not sure how i am going to do it in one post...it may be easier to do 10! I shall see....dont forget to say hi:)

A layout to share
I did this layout using Lil Davis oval words and the little frames to go with them.
It is a product challenge from Riverland Scrapbooking Supplies for February. I am really happy with this layout.
It basically tells the story of time...In time Leigh i have learnt to trust you, i respect you and i believe in you....and how much we love him. I used the transparancies as i wanted to include the passing of time. This is a pic of him taken walking to the bus stop on his first day of High School.
It is one of my current faves.
Hmmm in the background following on from last post....Zoe is now up and i can tell by the god awful sounds coming from the trombone LOL yep she is playing the trombone this year......leigh played it two years ago....

Aahhh the decadence of it all....
we are off in the speedboat today,,,yay ! I cannot tell you the last time we went in it cause it was too bloody long ago,,,maybe a couple of times last summer maybe???
We have been SO busy these last few months.... daz and i are supposed to be on holidays this week and doing work at the block,,,,, we had our audit yesterday and we are no longer with SQF 1000 but are now with HACCAP. WHat does this mean you ask,,,,welll buggered if i know LOL.....all i know is we are now allowed to produce and sell our fruit again....not that we were banned its jsut an ongoing thing we need done every year to ensure our stuff is up to quality and we can trace our fruit from point of sale back to us if ever there is a problem.
Now back to the hoildays...i went to work on tuesday as the boss needed me to come in as she was short staffed...i didnt mind i started at 7.30 and was gone by 11.15 so that was great.
Daz has been going in at 6 every morning and coming home later in the morning but our time has been filled with organising paperwork and stuff for this audit.
Darrel surprised me by asking if i wanted to go out in the boat. He said ask chooky what she is doing and ask her to come to. So i did and she said yes...so that makes it legal...2 drivers ( so we can have a kneeboard as well) and always one spotter.
I am a bit scared actually, there has been alot of accidents on the rivers lately..one guy died a few weeks ago after hitting a pylon on the bridge at paringa. Theres been more and it has made me a bit nervous...although on a thursday morning you would think that not many people would be on the river:)
In between all of this we should be scraping the 600 apricot trays we still have here and picking pears but where is the time.....ahhh shit happens and tommorrow will be the scraping day.....hmmm must sprinkle them down today to get a bit of moisture back into them.
So much else has been happening as well. Im trying to organise my scrap room and i want to get into the office here and go thru the filing cabinets ect......i wanna do some of the *you never see it done* cleaning....
I might leave it here for today only cause i want to see this new blogger....and i need to get zoe up for school little devil.
Oh an ongoing project i have been doing is going thru my photos. Over the last few months i have been culling photos and pulling them out of the sticky albums and last weekend i brought 6 new 300 pocket albums and they are now filled with photos all chronologically dated. (12 in total to date)
Only thing is i realised that since getting my digitals we havent added any photos since 2004! Eek so i am now in the process of burning cds to go into the albums as follow ons,,,,let me just say 800 photos and still counting!!!!!!!! Luckily we have alocal photo kiosk that you can do 200 pics at a time and it only costs around $40. I did 30 6x8 and 170 4x6 one day and it only came to $47.00.
I feel this is a reasonable cost and we love to look thru albums so i will bring them back inside to reminise over:)
Okay this girl of mine is still not out of bed,,,bettter go raz her up...LOL

What a fab two weeks...and fast!!! phew!!!
Well havent these two weeks flown already....Im hoping all you mums had an okay start to the school year and the fretful babes managed to hang in there okay and get to like school ...lol.
Mine have had an awesome beginning, i am so amazed.
I told Zoe i was so proud of her...we had a little talk at the beginning of the holidays about her being in grade 6 now and that she really had to learn how to get herself ready and begin her homework as soon as she got home from school....she has done all this and more...this girl of mine is so great. Every night she has here school clothes on the floor at the end of her bed (who am i to argue) she has her bag packed with all her homework and notes also packed. The only thing she has to do is pop her lunch in every day. My two used to have showers each nite but now they are bothup early for showers...zoe has her alarm set every day for 6 oclock....if i have a later start they get to sleep in.....
Not to leave Leigh out...he has been brilliant! He gets home every night sits at his desk and works on his homework. Last year his report was quite disappointing in that the teacher said he could have acheived so much had he put in the effort. We told him this year he has to do this..and so far he is not argueing at all it is all going well.
Im so proud of them and have told them so......
Leigh will be soon starting an airbrush course that he has been waiting to start for over 12 months,,,,he is very artistic and i want to encourage it.
Zoe is taking up the trombone this year...good on ya zo....leigh played it in grade 5 and his music teacher says he has an aptitude for music (he can play by ear) so leigh can help her practice Lol....
Zo also wants to do greek dancing at her school this year as well as participate in the active after school program where there are activites run on a mon and thurs night.....eg next week is orienteering and rowing?? So she is right into the getting fit business....
A question for any mums who may be going thru the same thing leigh isnt eating at school....im trying to pack him stuff he can walk around and eat but it doesnt seem to mkae much difference,,,,he isnt eating it when he comes home either...any suggestions would be welcome...i ask what he wants and he says he isnt hungry so nothing but i cant send him with no food now can i??
On a more sombre note today is the one year anniversary death of my younger sisters fiancee from snake bite. They have their ups and downs however they are coping well...i have an inkling that my sister may move back to Adelaide though. But i guess time will tell.
I may leave it here for now as it is getting late. I wanted to go to the drive in to see A night at the museum but its not to be Daz has jsut gotten home from doing water and its now too late to go... maybe tommorrow:)

Oh wow can you hear that??
Sorry im being facecious (sp?) and people who know me well say it is sometimes my niddle name...anyway hear what you ask????
The peace and quiet ...YAY!!
The kids have been in bed since about quarter to 7, they have been reading and up until 10 mins ago Leigh was still awake but lights are all off...we have had some really busy days and nights and i really wanted the kids to go to bed early,,,if not to sleep then just to rest......
We have had a lovely weekend over this public holiday weekend.
On Friday we spent the day doing stuff around home...saturday i worked so Daz took the kids to some garage sales,,,i had to laugh at Daz he reckons Zoe is like steptoe...always sniffing out a bargain ...i love it...we love to go to the op shop and have a look around now and again....last time the kids went with their gran leigh got some maxx jeans and some quicksilver ones for only like a few dollars...luckily cause he is a labels kid unfortunately......
Today being sunday we went out the block and scraped about 150 odd trays of apricots......only about ohhh 600 to go LOL!!!!
While daz did water the kids and i went and did 0ur groceries then after tidying the house and having tea i have just sat down after making some banana and yogurt muffins from scratch and just a packet mix of ones called choc hearts going to have one with my coffee.
Im soon off to bed though cause its going be a fun start to the day tommorrow,.,,,,it is Leigh's first day at high school BOO HOO,,,,,i just cant believe it...im going to take lots of photos cause i want to do a layout about growing up and what is ahead of him and maybe our views now on what we would like and maybe what sort of person he is becoming....we have chatted about the peer group pressure and all of that kind of stuff so here's hoping we can all keep the lines of communication open and continue on our merry way thru this labyrinth called life....
The layout above i did as a challenge for my lss...Riverland Scrapbooking Supplies...we had to use three office products..i used graph paper, pen, office tabs and staples.
It was also done using supplies from one of the kits i purchased from Maria at Scrapboxx. Thanks Maria.
on that note my friends..its off for coffee muffin and bed....

Australia Day 2007
Hello there to all my cyber and not so cyber friends...im hoping you are all having a wonderful Australia Day and im hoping you are spending it with your family or friends.
Here is a layout i wanted to share of my friend and i, she lives in Melbourne and we chat just about every Wed..and other days besides....we are each others sounding board and we bounce lots of stuff off each other....this girls knows things about me no one else except my husband knows....

Today has been spent here afixing new gutters to our house....we have recently finished our back verandah after three years and we have many other things planned as well. The verandah looks great,,,it is wonderful having a handy hubby.....luckily cause we would have had to spend so much money renovating our kitchen.
The boys are in the middle of spray paintng Leighs bike. He has chosen the new Ford Arctic Green or some thing for his new bike colour...he thinks they didnt mix it properly but who cares...it is really going to sparkle i can say that much:)
I am nursing a sore finger today...while helping Daz pop rivet the gutter bits together he neglected to mention to me to keep my fingers from between the handles...YEOW!!!! I now have a bruise under my nail nearly the size of my pointer finger nail......
I am planning to go out to my scrap room later and play with some aewsome goodies that i ordered from Scrapboxx...thanks Maria they are gorgeous....i have also done another layout already with some products from another pack i ordered. I will post that later cause i dont know how to add more than one pic and to have it look nice on my page...the others i did last time moved places.
On that note i am going to sign off and go for a surf.....
thankyou Karen for popping into my blog and for you other girls for popping in as well.....its nice to know someone is reading my ramblings....i dont have alot to say usually but its nice to just let loose sometimes....:)

Mini Tornado hits Renmark!!!
Well this is what remains of our sulphur tent we need to use to sulphur our apricots each year....In the background you can see a big shipping container and all those bins??? Well they were thrown off the top of the container by the strong winds that hit our area on 6th Jan 2007.What a great start to the new year. In so saying all of this we were SO lucky.......we did not lose our house our car or the roof off our home like some people did in the area.
Most people know most people around the district so it was heartbreaking to see friends houses with no rooves and to hear of blooming horrible looters.....can you believe it some people are the lowest of the low.
As i post i will add another pic or two of photos taken around the area....these trees are on the corner of ettiwanda street and kulkyne street...just to the top right of my sulphur tent...these trees ended up covering the whole road.....
Hmmm that pic didnt go where i wanted it oo....lol just means i have to learn how to use blogger better:)
There has been so many people affected....we also lost some apple trees due to be picked for the first time this year....they snapped off just about at ground level.....our damage is more heartache than physical damage.....but we can recover easily from this...others are not so lucky!
On a brighter note...last night was our first night home alone as a family in over a week.
Im going to switch to bullet points cause im sure im going to get RSI of the hands trying to remember everything that has happened since i last posted a month ago...yeah yeah i know....
* apricot harvest has gone really well....nearly finished
*peach harvest, we decided not to do...the fruit was too small and they dont pay good money for dreid peaches even if they do scream out for them each year....we decided the stress just wasnt worth it.
* Pears and sultanas harvest due to start...thank goodness we are having a week off in feb!
*Hubby dropped a bombshell on me the other night....seems we need to re evalutate our lives and actually talk not assume things...long story but i wont go into it here....
*We had a visit from my auntie and uncle from Qld for 4 days, they brought their 3 grandkids and we all had a blast....weve never met the two little fellers and gee they are so cute! I will put up pics in another post,,,,saves confusion:)
* We ended up going to Brighton last friday with my auntie and uncle and kids to see my great great aunt.....she is 97 and auntie chrissy thinks she may not get down again for a few years....so "just in case" we went to see Auntie Thora.
* While in Brighton we stopped at the beach and the kids had a great time..pics to follow.
Also stopped in to see my sister and two neices auntie hadnt see for 30 years....
*Last Monday Leighs girlfriend came to stay with us for a few days,,,i had to work and zoe was chaperone....she called in reinforcements in the shape of a cousin to help her as she was worried things may happen between them. LOL
*Our long time neighbour has moved away from us,,,boo hoo, weve been here coming up 9 years..she has moved to be with her boyfriend along way away.....hope to visit her one day...but not in the near future.
*As part of Darrles bombshell we have decided to spend time doing things around home to enjoy our house and not wait for the "what if "that may or may not be around the corner.
* This involves new guttering on our home,,,, a new outdoor entertaining area and new outdoor furniture, renovating the bathroom slightly and finishing of our bedroom.... weve been saving in the hopes of buying another property but not sure if its the way to go.....if it is then good if not then so be it.....
Im sure ive forgotten heaps of stuff but as i remember i shall try to post it....
Oh oh Congrats to my cousin Narelle Carl and Caden on the birth of sweet little Alexis Rose.....she was born 9 weeks early and was 2lb 1 oz......doing well last i heard so that is fantastic newsXXXXX

Well it is now official...
The start of our busy time is here. A week early i might add......hmm what busy season do you ask.....
We have a fruit property and from now until April we will be busy,,,,,first there is apricots which we cut and dry....you will see them in the supermarket as the Angas Park brand.....they go until just after New Years...generally we are picking them New Years Day!!! No celebrations for us....
Followed in Feburary by not one but two crops...these are pears and sultanas also for drying.....The pears are pretty easy as we get to pick and put them in the coolroom and bring them out for 7 days then can cut them. Its great that we can *plan* this fruit...everything else nope flat out and dont collect 200 bucks as you pass go.....
Look it will all be worth it because we hope to pay our house off this year form the proceeds then save up to buy the property next door to ours which has a house,,,,,anyone who knows me knows i HATE HATE HATE the travelling....yeah yeah i know its only 6kms and yeah there are worse things happening around the world what is 6 bloomin K's...well the answer to that is packing up the kids each day including foods (we want to eat healthy, so its salads and fruit ect)
clean cutlery and crockery which i bring home to wash every coupla days...can wash there too thou.....ummm hats sunscreen and other misc items including toiletries handwash, loo paper ect...anyway enough of the gripin LOL .......im not really....
Anyway the neighbours want to sell up and move along...we really really want this place if only for the convenience of living *on the block*...i havent even seen inside the house yet but Daz says i would love it as it is similar to ours and we renovated this ourselves so i can t wait to have a look at it...be dreadful if i hated it hey LOL??? Its gotta have three bedrooms and a room i can scrap in or else.....we also would like a darkroom....poor daz we finally get his darkroom up and going and we may leave it hahaha.
I have planned to have a week off the week after next so we are hoping the apricots can hang just a little bit longer otherwise there is going to be ALOT of late nights and cranky us....:)
I have also been offered a week off work in Feb for the pears but Daz is hoping we may be able to get a few days off together as a family...yaay cant wait.
We saw a show on the ABC last night called Agony Aunts with Clive Robertson and two women...boy they could have been talking about me and Daz in that we arent sure whether to sell our property to spend more time together as a family or just *coast along* until eg we can get this house.....also like Steve and Donna from the show...we dont have a lot of time for just us two....we do communicate it is a very important part of our relationship but it could be better.....with our jobs and the block and the kids....he has alot on his plate so i tend to leave him alone and he knows he can call on me for help if he needs too. It makes it hard in some respects cause i cant commit to anything cause im never sure if he is able to make it...
They also talked about the sex and hugging side of the relationship....LOL boy did we laugh.....yep Daz comes to give me a hug and kiss and it is like go away im busy or dont touch me,,,,dont grope me.....even thought i know he doesnt want to do anything i just dont want to be touched....i do love him dont get me wrong that is not it at all:)
I like to hug but in my own time and way and not for long cause it might go further and i aint got time for *further * LOL....
Anyways enough of that dribble LOL not much has really been happening in my neck of the woods....just work and family obligations.....i went out for tea on Friday night for our work party...we went to the new look renmark club....looks nice but i wasnt happy with my meal.
I ordered chicken snitzel and i wanted the steak gravy of...green peppercorns and bacon and you know what i got....bloody cheese and bacon...too bad if i was allergic to cheese...anyway two others ordered the mushroom off the steak gravy menu with their chicken snitzels and they got it why didnt i...not happy .....
The kids had a job list a mile long yesterday to complete...now i dunno about anyone elses kids but mine need a blow by blow account of what they need to do otherwise it dont get done!! Needless to say the list wasnt really alot to do just instuctions....
Im gonna split now im making salad for tea and daz is bbqing some marinated chicken wings then its showers all round and bed....i know im knackered and we have a busy time coming up......

Riverland Scraptacular Weekend.......
This is my layout from Mardis class on the weekend......it was so much fun...i love sewing on my layouts but generally i dont cut flowres or any of that....im lazy id rather stick a blossom on...but you know what....i loved it and i am going to do it again....maybe the flowers will be bigger next time:)I love this pic of my two sweethearts....i took it down the river a few weeks ago....wasnt sure about the pink with my boy but i love it...biased arent i LOL.
The other pic is of out project lead by Lisa...it is a chip box and we decorated it.....you could use it for lollies...chokkies...candy canes or anything really...great idea thanks Lisa you did good gal!
Not alot has been happening since the weekend...just work and family.....havent even scrapped yet....LOL.

Oh what fun...!
Oh didnt we have a faboulus time yesterday girls?
I know i did.....im referring to our riverland get together that was arranged months ago. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond the control of the organisers the original function was cancelled but us gals decided to go ahead anyway:) YAY im glad we did.....
Mardi thankyou for the venue and organising it.....you did a fab jobxx

In other news.....im just going to bullet point this entry cause its getting late and im in the middle of cooking tea....yummy stirfry...well in the middle of preparing it anyway:)
* My gorgeous little girl.....turned 11 on the 22nd Nov....where does the tiem go...she had her beautiful long blonde hair cut into layers and it looks fantastic!! SHe had a friend sleepover and a video night on friday night.
* Leigh went to Mildura for an overnight trip to Mildura last week.....bowling, swimming, rollerskating...playing pizza hut for tea...woodsies gem shop as well as snakes and ladders needless to say he came home one very tired boy on Friday.
*Daz is going back to the doctors about his leg....he is having a lot of pain in in further down than the actual break site...im hoping there isnt a crack or something they have missed....until the visit and new xrays we wont know so its prob best not to speculate...although he seems to think they may wish to take the screws and plate out...he freaks out cause the screws go right thru the bone and on the xray it almost looks like they are about to hang out his leg....yeck!
*My sister is doing well at the moment, she is very excited as she is getting asleepout for her two eldest girls....6 people in a three bedroom house is kinda tight...esp with the size of her rooms....so im hoping to help her there...
*Work is going well.....i am happier there now than i was a few months ago......after talking to the boss about how i felt and somethings that went on...things are so much brighter there now....
*The fruit is coming along so fast it is unbelievable....argh that means we are going to be busy now until April...there will be a few quiet minutes in there at some stage tho.....
*Its not so bad....considering the way the water situation is at the moment we may not even have a block to run next year...Daz has already mentioned he may have to go away to work....there would be not water for the company he works for so hence no job there either....lets keep our fingers crossed that we manage okay....theres always the option of selling up and going to Qld ( this suggestion put forward by hubby with the pain in his leg being so bad) Although Qld isnt that bad LOL!!!!

*Im sure im going to forget so much but i shall stop it here Daz is home and he is so very tired i want to feed him get him thru the shower and into bed......to sleep!!!! He has to do water at 10pm and doesnt know how he will cope he is so tired so im sending him to bed alone:)

Zoe has a twin
I bet none of you knew that zoe had a twin did you,,,well here she is...this is zoe's cousin shannon.
They are nearly the same age...zoe is 9 months older.
Daz was watching them run and he said they even run alike and have some same mannerisms. I have mistaken them twice on 2 different occasions for each other....hmmm what was i thinking hahaha.
We had a wonderful suprise last wed night...my sister had one of my other nieces staying with her and she was going to go home on the Thursday well Daz said why dont we ask monique to bring brooke around before she goes home and i agreed.
Well just after i arrived home in came my other sister and the best thing of all was she had both her daughters with her...we were so rapt. They all came out for tea along with my sister jodies friend dave and his daughter tarryn..with whom my 13 year old son was quite smitten with i might add :) SO cute.....
Now its not that i dont get along with all my sisters but we just dont keep in contact which we have all decided to rectify because these girls are jsut the most gorgoeus things and we have missed out so much by not having them in our lives.
I rang jo today just to say g'day and we had a great chat. I explained that i am sorry we havent kept in touch and why...we feel our family (us 4) is our family and that is what is important to us but in so saying this we have missed so much.
They all had a ball when they visited us and they cannot wait to see us again. Us either!!

Lots of things today
Hello once again i was going to update last night but i got busy looking at other stuff and got side tracked haha.
Lots have been happening here lately.
First of all my DD hockey team won the u/11 grand final first time ever yeehaa. Unfortunately when they took the team photo for the paper my little girl wasnt in it nor did she even get a absent mention...i was very dissapointed about it. We had to leave to go to a family reunion at Loxton but we needed to go from Berri back to Renmark and then back thru Berri and over to Loxton that day...argh!!! And still we were late for the reunion.
Thats was alot of fun, Darrel got to meet cousins he had never met before, alot of them knew he existed but only had met his brother when younger...so there you have it 38 years old and meeting cousins for the first time.
Darrel had a ball catching up and meeting them all. We have promised to keep in touch with alot of the cousins and many have said to pop in to see them when we go to Adelaide.
Today is a crappy day outside, very cool and windy. We are planning to visit my sister today as we have something to drop of to her for the kids.
We were planning to do alot in our garden today and i guess we still can ,,, i need to go and do some shopping at some stage today so everyone has food to eat this coming week. The kids are on holiday so they feel the need to eat everything in the pantry!
I had my very good friend visit from Melbourne last weekend....we had a terrific time but unfortunately they had to go home early as her mum was taken to hospital but we decided that from Fri night to Sun morning was better than nothing at all. Had we known they were to go home early we wouldnt have had them visit us so a little was definately better than none at all.
We met for the first time about 4 years ago and we are quite close we ring each other alot and she has children the same age as mine.
Would you believe that we also got a phone call from friends in Red Cliffs saying they were planning to come visit that weekend......they havent been here in 8 years...im not sure if they have been here before but anyway we had to say sorry......we managed to catch up with them on Monday as we had to go to Mildura to get our tax done and we met up with them and our other lot of friends as well.....us 3 girls share the same birthday...2 on the same day and one two days later....and our kids are all close in age but they had girls first then boy i had the boy then the girl:)
Well im going to cut it short here Dh is getting things ready to go to my sisters so im going to have to have a shower.....boo hoo i love to live in my pjs on the weekend for as long as possible:)

Quick hello
Im trying to add a photo to this message but corel doesnt like to work while i am on the net or have been on the net,,,so tiresome. I have adobe photoshop 7 but ive no idea how to use it as yet so i shall post the pic i want shortly. It is a pic of dd on an impromptu photo shoot at the river.
